Recent Changes to contextfreeart.org

Post by MtnViewJohn »

We just moved contestfreeart.org to a much cheaper server last night. There may have been some glitches around midnight. Please reply to this thread if you see anything that isn't working right.

We also switched from reCaptcha to blacklists for blocking spammers. If you have trouble registering then email us at contextfree@glyphic.com

For some reason I see the glyphic.com site when I visit contextfreeart.org. But, I can view it normally by jumping here from Google. Any idea what's going on?

Sorry, for the double post, but I figured out I only get sent to the glyphic page if I don't put the "www." before contextfreeart.org

We forgot to update one of the DNS (Domain Name Service) records. It is fixed now, but it will take up to 24 hours for the fix to propagate to all of the DNS servers in the world.

When downloading CF3(v29) Norton Security sends the exe file into the nirwana.
This did not happen with CF3_beta(v28) which is installed w/o problems though
a warning of just very few users. Any idea why this is all of a sudden ?

Really? You download it and it doesn't end up in your download directory?

The only reason that I can think of is that the installer for CF3_beta requested administrator privileges and installed Context Free in system directories and system registry keys. CF3_release requests user privileges and installs Context Free in the user's directories and registry keys. Can you get Norton to tell you why it doesn't like the installer?

Today the CF3 download worked. Yesterday the message was that the exe filed got deleted or shifted.
Added was quote Contextfreeinstall3.0.exe.l6ojnjs.partial(WS.Reputation.1) unquote however, it
seems resolved. Thank you.

We had to move the server again. Reply to this thread if any new issues pop up.
