allow cfdg to use an arbitrary tmp folder

I recently ran into a problem where a non-gui version of cfdg (version 2.1) filled a /tmp folder and then crashed. It'd be nice to be able to either define /tmp on the command line, or have it honor $TMPDIR.
Or, maybe I am being dumb and it already allows this and I'm just missing something critical.
