Is it possible to include some kind of progress report while rendering? Right now, all that is displayed (on Linux) is the total number of shapes. I don't need anything fancy, something as simple as "xx% done" would be awesome

There are status messages during the render stage but not during the drawing stage. The Windows and Mac versions provide a progress bar for the drawing stage, so it shouldn't be too hard to do this for the command line versions.
