An idea of more tilling directives

I just upload a work based on snub square tilling pattern.
http://www.contextfreeart.org/gallery/view.php?id=2511
As we know, on the 2-dimension plane, tilling patterns can be constructed by some rules.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiling_by_regular_polygons
Could we introduce more tilling directives for these different tilling patterns?
Each tilling design are defined by:
* Several different start shape (maybe more than one)
* A tilling pattern
Is it feasible?

One of the suggestions for version 3 was for tiling to implement a few more of the planar symmetry groups.
See
http://www.contextfreeart.org/mediawiki ... on_3_Ideas
I don't know whether this suggestion has been adopted.

I really like the planar groups idea. I will probably do it. It doesn't look that hard.
I don't understand the original question. All of the tilings on that wikipedia page can be generated with the tile directive in version 2.2.2 (except for the hyperbolic ones).

It is true that one can generate the pictures in wikipedia page, but that was not the issue right?
I understood that other tiling methods would create coordinates that fit inside the tile, e.g. the coordinates would be
inside the hexagon in hexagonal tiling. Right now to create seamless pattern inside the hexagon is not easy.
Only creating seamless pictures inside the square tiling is easy, I suppose thats what the
tile {} does.
